Oil on Wood (Diptych)
48″x48″
There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and someone is beckoning the viewer to enter it. However, between the viewer and the light is a room ablaze with clashing reds and blues. The oil paints of this composition are applied thickly and roughly, enhancing the feeling of a room on fire.
During the late 1990’s and early 2000’s I painted quite a few oil paintings and experimented with applying highly saturated paints with palette knives.
